This week has been crazy! Between the grocery mishaps and the missed trains, I somehow lost my metro card. I went through my emptied grocery bags. I went through my wallet (and found three expired cards; I’m talking years old). I went through my purse (it’s known for eating things like my keys, and disposing of them only when it is ready). I looked under my bed, in the refrigerator, in the trash…nowhere to be found. I eventually gave in and just bought a new metro card. But, not until after the closest train station informed me that it could not take debit cards. A kind stranger let me go through using their card. Things have looked up since then!

At work this week, I have been busy with designing fabrics, same as last week. This time, though, I made a geometric, hour-glass-type shape. After I was finished with that, I started work on a blue pattern that you would usually find on fancy china. Sort of kind of only vaguely resembling this. Yesterday, I worked on roughly 15 of those. Or things sort of resembling that. Out of the 15-20, we narrowed it down to three. With those three, we adjusted them into several shades of blue each. Then, finally, this morning, I found out that we had a winner! The client chose one of our patterns. So today was spent blending the two Pantone colors in different ways to make (hopefully!) the perfect design for her pajama line.

And now, an outfit!

Ninesday.

9. Obsessed.

8. I’m still loving the natural facial cleansers (though I haven’t yet purchased one). Refinery29 referred me to this great shop on Etsy, MarbleandMilkweed. Rose & Chamomile Cleansing Nectar, you say? I’m in. The shop also has solid perfume and bath nectar. And just in case you weren’t convinced by their products, look at that packaging. I want all of that on my shelves.

7. I am completely in love with the Minimalliving collection sold at Deco Bazaar. This print, especially: “I may not be perfect, but parts of me are pretty awesome.”

6. I want to dress like this when I’m older. She’s impossibly chic.

5. Comma Workshop. “Each quilt has an original story or poem quilted directly into it, in both white thread and a contrasting color thread.  In this way, the 800+ words are a functional part of the quilt holding three layers of fabric together.  We machine quilt– by hand– thus our ‘comma cursive’ is original and freehanded, making no two quilts exactly alike.” What a beautiful idea. And an inspiring product.

4. I don’t often enjoy busy websites, especially when I am trying to view a store/upcoming collection for a designer. But wow, I have been proven wrong. I am loving SWASH LONDON’s site. Go play with it. And while you’re at it, look at their pattern-mixing prowess. I’m in complete awe.

3. A crocheted iPhone case, you say? I already have a case I’m fond of, but I wonder if it would work as a wallet. You know, one of those little ones that don’t let you carry all of the cards you don’t ever use/need.

2. What a nice fortune, Theyallhateus. And, no. I never wanted pink hair before I spent the last hour pouring over your blog. Thanks for that.

1. It’s reached that point in the semester. You know what point I’m referring to…the one that is constantly exhausted and overly thoughtful. All I want to do is daydream.
